Sports Illustrated Has Nothing on Jen’s Craft Skills

Posted April 12 2016 in #PeopleFirst

Choice Financial customer Randy stops in a couple times a week to shoot the breeze and always has a few jokes to share complemented by bouts of friendly banter. One afternoon, he stopped in looking for a calendar. ‘Randy had asked when the ‘swimsuit edition’ calendars were coming in’’, explained Jen Lano, ‘’so that gave me an idea!’’.

Jen popped into the LaMoure Drugstore during her lunch break to grab a 2016 calendar for Randy. Although quite pretty, the calendar would not have been to his taste, with photographs of country cottages adorning the glossy pages.

Jen printed out a variety of swimsuit pictures and glued them to the front cover of the calendar. On the inside of the calendar, Jen attached pictures of all kinds of animals in swimsuits. She even added Randy’s family member’s birthdays to personalize it a bit more. Jen polished off the gift with a big red bow and tucked it under the counter, waiting for the next time Randy stopped in.

”When Randy looked at the calendar for the first time, he got really excited and said, ‘You got me my calendar!’ Then he paged through the months and was giggling the whole time.

‘‘Jen embraced our core value to ‘Commit to customers with undivided attention.’ and ‘Have a little fun!’ by going above and beyond to make that calendar” said Brenda Ragan, Jen’s colleague.

“Randy was so excited by his special calendar, he brought it with him to show off at coffee the next morning.” said Jen as she reflected back, “It felt as good giving it to him as he did receiving it.”
